Zouk From Zero

This course is for the new dancer who has never danced Brazilian Zouk before, or for the dancer who wants to revisit the basics, for example after a longer break or to improve technique. In the course, we will start from the very beginning and work from the basic steps, focusing on strong basics and connection. By the end of the course, you will be able to dance socially, using the figures and tools you have learned in class.

You do not need a partner to join! We will change partners during the class so you get a chance to dance with everyone.

Level 1, Beginner & Open Level
No prior experience with dancing is required.

Zouk Open Level

In this course, you will learn important variations of basics with more focus on flow, connection, musicality and dynamics. This is the most important class to take if you are considering to take just one class. To join this course, you will need to know the following foundational movements: Basic Step, Viradinha, Lateral, Simple opening,  Simple turn, Elastico, Yo-yo, Bonus, and Soltinho.

You will also be expected to have some experience in lead/follow technique including body leading in close, half-open, open embrace and wifi.
